Spraggins Law Firm, LLC provides legal services to individuals and corporate clients. In doing so, we are privy to confidential and non-public personal information. The firm values the privacy of our clients and wants them to be aware of our privacy policy.
In closing real estate transactions, we are voluntarily provided access to confidential and non-public personal information including, but not limited to, the following:
· Social Security number;
· Date of birth;
· Employment information;
· Credit History;
· Driver’s license number;
· Email address; and
· Loan information, account number and balance, and loan history.
The firm uses password protected, encrypted emails to collect confidential and non-public personal information from buyers and sellers in real estate transactions. FAILURE TO USE THE ENCRYPTED EMAILS TO EXCHANGE CONFIDENTIAL AND NON-PUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
As part of the real estate closing process, our clients authorize us to share their confidential and non-public personal information with certain third-parties such as lenders, mortgage service provides, credit unions, banking and financial institutions, and homeowner’s associations and management companies. This is necessary to close the real estate transaction. The firm does not disclose confidential and non-public personal information to any unauthorized party. WE NEVER SELL CONFIDENTIAL AND NON-PUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE FOR ANY PURPOSE.
Client files are maintained for at least six (6) years. However, no one outside of the firm has access to the files. Thereafter, files are destroyed to ensure the integrity of all confidential and non-public personal information.
Spraggins Law Firm, LLC does take precautions to protect confidential and non-public personal information from accidental loss and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, providing confidential and non-public personal information is at your own risk. Should any breach occur, or your information compromised, the firm will take all actions required by Georgia law.
